I have expertise in conducting comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents. While many psychologists in the Tampa Bay Area can provide such evaluations, I have an advantage of years of experience within the school system. Therefore I have knowledge and experience with the Response to Intervention process, and I can tailor my evaluations and reports to meet the requirements for evaluation within the school system. Furthermore, I am well-versed in Exceptional Student Education services and eligibility requirements, as well as requirements for 504 Plan and Accommodations. Many times parents obtain a psychological evaluation by a private practitioner with recommendations that the school system is unable to meet given strict guidelines in the schools with which the private psychologist is unaware. I work hard to ensure that my recommendations are consistent with school system guidelines and service options, and am happy to collaborate with your child’s teachers and school-based team throughout the process. I will always be thorough, detail-oriented, and an advocate for your child.

I also enjoy collaborating with other professionals for a multidisciplinary approach to children’s difficulties. I am happy to provide psychological and psychoeducational information to assist Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, Optometrists, and Occupational and Physical Therapists as they work with your child.

I use an eclectic approach to therapy, which means that I do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” style. Each person has unique needs, strengths, and weaknesses, and I tailor my approach to meet the best interest of my clients. I provide individual, group and family counseling.

As another service to my clients, I am available to consult with other professionals who work with your family. As part of your evaluation or therapy program, we may determine that it would be beneficial for me to provide information or education services to your child’s pediatrician, school, or other professionals working with your child. I am available to do this by phone or in person, and see this as a necessary component to promoting your child’s and family’s well-being.

In addition to direct services provided to children, adolescents and new mothers, I am available for educational services within the community via workshops, parent and teacher trainings, and school-wide initiatives such as the development of counseling or positive behavioral support programs. Finally, I am available to provide supervision for licensure as a psychologist in the state of Florida. Please contact me to discuss your ideas or specific needs you may have.
