I have expertise in conducting comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents. While many psychologists in the Tampa Bay Area can provide such evaluations, I have an advantage of years of experience within the school system. Therefore I have knowledge and experience with the Response to Intervention process, and I can tailor my evaluations and reports to meet the requirements for evaluation within the school system. Furthermore, I am well-versed in Exceptional Student Education services and eligibility requirements, as well as requirements for 504 Plan and Accommodations. Many times parents obtain a psychological evaluation by a private practitioner with recommendations that the school system is unable to meet given strict guidelines in the schools with which the private psychologist is unaware. I work hard to ensure that my recommendations are consistent with school system guidelines and service options, and am happy to collaborate with your child’s teachers and school-based team throughout the process. I will always be thorough, detail-oriented, and an advocate for your child.
I also enjoy collaborating with other professionals for a multidisciplinary approach to children’s difficulties. I am happy to provide psychological and psychoeducational information to assist Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, Optometrists, and Occupational and Physical Therapists as they work with your child.
